De La Chica: Arias Florentinas, Op. 15

Composed during De La Chica’s summer of 2021 in Florence, Arias Florentinas is a contemporary song cycle for mezzo—soprano and piano, inspired by Renaissance Italian poetry. With minimalist and intimate writing, the work explores themes of desire, death, and spirituality through lyrical and emotional depth.
